Here this past Friday June 23rd we had a really nice run of Holstein Steers and Beef Cattle selling 1,458 total cattle ...
We sold almost 900 Holstein Steers on a market that was pretty much steady to somewhat lower.. But we had a slug of quality in the Holstein Department..
We also sold a little over 550 Beef Cattle on a that was also lower.. Probably more lower on the Beef Cattle as they really hammered the cash cattle at the end of the week forcing the buyers to proceed with a little more caution than the past month or so as it got pretty darn aggressive.. But the market on all was actually better than expected and the demand is definitely there so it was another good day..
Thanks again to all Buyers/Sellers who brought together another nice sale of cattle for us to offer...
Next Special Summer Feeder Cattle Sale will be Friday July 14th starting time 9:00am sharp selling both Holstein Steers and Beef Cattle..
Wishing all a very safe and happy 4th of July from all of us at Bloomington Livestock..
One final note in which we will go into further detail another day but thanks to you all and all you bring to the industry in the United States Bloomington Livestock Exchange has been chosen to be the host auction market for the 2018 Livestock Marketing Association World Livestock Auctioneering Championship in June of 2018.. More of this exciting news to follow!!
